When I was a little kid, I learned how to braid on my Barbie doll. In ninth grade, I taught myself how to French braid in choir class by watching a girl in the second row braid and unbraid her hair. Five years later, a delightfully clever woman named Melanie Mundy, taught me the basic braiding foundation of awesomeness that I now know. Then a little, old, crazy man in Canada taught me how to braid with a knotting technique. The intricate and eye-popping stuff I do now, I learned from the Martin Parsons how-to collection and the team members of the product company Aquage. I took all that knowledge... mixed it up in my sloshy brain, and came up with the photos on this website, which are only half of my ideas; the other half will take another 10 years to get on film. Maybe I should go digital?

If you are wondering if you have had your hair braided by me before, it might help to know that I have gone by several names throughout my life: Rachel Potter, Raychel Briarmoon, Raychel Coiner, Raychel Norberg and Raychel Emmons.
